A new fundraising idea to reach your target
We're doing our part...what about you?
Saturdays for those who are in The Ben Nevis Challenge has become ‘action day’. From car washing to car boot sales, people are using this time to fundraise in full power.
Last Saturday Bishop David along with some pastors and church members used match day as an opportunity to sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts to passing football fans.
Once the Krispy Kreme hats, banners and balloons were up and ready, the stall was open for business. The members called passers by to buy while explaining that the proceeds all go towards saving the Peckham HelpCentre. Many were more than happy to buy for the cause while others simply couldn't resist the doughnuts.
“There were two groups of us, and we sold 1,200 donuts in about 5 hours. We ended up raising over £700, but every little bit counts for Peckham. I'd like to give a special thanks to Vicky for letting us use her front yard.” said Bishop David.
We're doing our part... what about you? Want to be part of this challenge and help us climb this mountain, donate now.

Another great fundraising idea to reach your Ben Nevis target
Many of you have been knocking on your neighbours’ doors to ask for donations for The Ben Nevis Challenge, but have not been very successful. Try out one of our latest ideas by downloading this letter to put in people’s letterboxes in your neighbourhood.
Take an hour or two to drop the letters several days before you go to ask for donations. On the day you start knocking, take a copy of the letter as proof and to remind people what it’s all about.
This idea was proven to be a success as one of our members filled two and a half tins one Sunday afternoon.
Go on. Give it a go and see how much you can raise.

Important note:
On the day you start knocking on your neighbour's door, please make sure you collect a fundraising and house to house badge from your local UCKG or the fundraising team.
After collecting donations you will need to return what you’ve collected on the same day along with your badge.
If you have any further queries please contact Vivian Katso.
